i have ordered one for November and i am a bit concerned that so many people have had so many problems with the watch. what is going wrong? are paul Gerber and team rushing them so that they can get back to their own watches or are there inherrent design ... 

similar to what others have reported - the second hand not returning to zero (or falling off). The service center in the US quickly replaced the second hand with a new one that has a longer pipe for better engagement with the arbor (shaft) They indicated ...  

displayed a lot of class but it does not address the root of the issue, that there are potential quality control issues on the production end. Given the professionalism displayed by Embassy, I have no doubt that feedback has been provided to Mr Paul Gerbe...

We can't deny that MIH has more problem in more recent years. A reply email to an owner seems to suggest that Paul Gerber did not execute the watch. There is no evidence whether he checked every piece before it was delivered. Perhaps you can clear some do... 

most major watch manufacturers have some kind of 'assembly line' to produce the watches. At this line, trained people perform certain tasks, not all a fully trained watchmakers. So why should this be no concern whereas in the case of Paul Gerber, where on... 

In MIH booklet, it says this: "it was also he who accepted the task of building EVERY SINGLE MIH Watch, aided by his craftmen." If you say that Paul Gerber is no longer execute MIH, then MIH booklet's information should be amended to reflect correct fact....

Im in Singapore and received my MIH a couple of months ago . The minute counter on case back doesnt reset to zero when I got it .Send a mail to Embassy and they replied by telling me to send some pictures of the fault . I did just that and its been a coup...

Hi Magnus, Thanks for taking the time to clarify some issues related to the MIH. Has the zero tolerance of the calendar mechanism led to some of the problems raised so far? Does this cause the mechanism to be more fragile or sensitive and will it lead to ... 

zero tolerance - of course this is not possible in reality, so a watchmaker entrusted to translate Oechslin's idea into a working timepiece has to modify the constructions to take into account the tolerances feasible - and necessary! - in mechanical praxi... 

I highlighted my problem with the MIH some posts back . Thanks to Magnus for his great help as a messenger , Embassy contacted me and offered a replacement and an Fedex account number to ship my faulty piece back . I received the new MIH this morning exac...
