...the proportions and dials always look 'off' to me...

I confess that I commissioned a piece a few years back based on another KV I had seen and tweaked the dial configuration on a GMT-6. There were a few earlier dials that KV made that had different proportions before we came to a landing.

...but in particular, I think the Roman numerals they use are not elegant. They are 'flipped' to start with (a pet peeve of mine). The baselines of the numerals don't follow the curve of the dial edge, they are square. Look at the Chopard and Rolex exampl...

I really like the monotone guilloche dial finish here which I’m sure contrasts nicely with the blued hands.
