IWC

Just out of curiousity, what is everyone's thoughts on IWC Schaffhausen? It seems that it is the one brand that not many people talk about in this forum. Belonging to the Richemont group, one would assume that their movements, finishing, and technical asp... 

But for me, the best of IWC is still from days gone: Classic 5441 Rattrapante Chrono Port Per Cals The grand daddy, the Il Destriero Scafusia HAGWE...  

though I have heard of some problems with the latest iteration of the Big Pilot, I am still a fan, and plan on purchasing a Big Pilot, Portofino Moonphase, or Ingenieur--just hard for me to decide between the three J

IWC is a good brand, but perhaps not great in many respects. As a Lange Lover, I personally think that IWC has many German case designs (it comes from the German side of Switzerland) but does not have the same German approach to watchmaking. I would say t... 

My last catch was the Aquatimer Cousteau Diver, the first one. I also had the Portuguese 7 Day PR with the plexy, Ref 5000, and the Portuguese Minute Repeater. I have to say that I loved a lot these 3 watches: 1, the Minute Repeater, I sold it to partiall...

We have the same taste, so is the hunt... Why am I on the 666 and the 812? Because I can't end my " amagnetic " thema without the 666, which was one of the stars of the category, along with the Geophysic, the Railmaster and the Rolex Milgauss. In this cat... 

Am sure most of us follow a certain theme/style/category of reference when it comes to building our collection. I'm curious about yours 1. Antimagnetic 2. 60ies Divers (why 60ies? Not other era) 3.? 4.? 5.? 6. Demonic? :-D I myself have a category under m...

I gave up around 2005. Until then I felt they had watches which spoke to me. Their history was great. A few years after the Richemont takeover I found the models were drifting away from the workmanlike qualities I valued, towards more fashion led designs....

it's my Favorite Brand beside Panerai. the Name is not often Mentioned here probably cause there's No Forum Dedicated to it. i've never had any Problems with mine.
