About the size of the boutique: I think it is the right one. I will not explain you the price of the square meter in this area. So if you wish to get an acceptable profitability, you don't have to increase your fixed costs. If not, you have to reach a very high sales volume. And I do believe, as you pointed it out that increasing the size will not increase the number of visitors. I'm sure that they carefully chose this size. Having said that, I found the boutique lay-out nicely designed.

About the IWC collection, I tend to disagree.  We always analyse the whole collection with our own perspective but we don't have to forget that a collection targets different markets and types of customers and not a single one. When we look at it, we find some nicely made and sober watches like the Ingenieur Automatic and even the new Portuguese Automatic. Some other watches are bulky with a more daring design. They are far from my expectations and I can't imagine to buy them.

You know, it is always the same with universal players like IWC: the collection is a gathering of everything to be sure to find customers somewhere for any watch. So the question for me is not to be happy with the whole collection but to find at least a  watch I like. And it is the case for me with the Ingenieur Automatic. And at the same time, some Ingenieur or Pilot watches are far from being my cup of tea.
