Seems like somebody going to get slapped....
That's pretty rude behavior, no matter how....
It's seems like the boutique persons got to do some much more research of what things they're selling, not just about the current products and nonsensical things like "it's case is gold", and think that every mechanical watch is automatic, chronometer and chronograph is the same, etc. Believe me, I got enough of them.
Have you tried to bring it into the richemont service center? Hope you'll be treated better there.
Funny thing is, they got fooled sometimes with a totally fake watch, which is a problem when the customer brought that fake watch into our service center to service things that happens in the watch itself.
Well, sometimes we accept franken as well as long as it's only the dial/hands/crown was replaced, while caseback number and movement used are correct.
And polish and exchanged "cosmetic parts" of vintage watch only due to the agreement at the beginning of transaction.
