IWC Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Rattrapante.
A watch I owned for several years before being stupidly scammed... The one and only one Rattrapante I ever had. A press files picture. At that time, in 2005, I didn't have a camera... But I damn loved this outdated case, the dial, and, of course this Ratt...

per IWC. Reading between the lines that would be the justification for premium besides new case design & warranty. Sure IWC should make some of their R&D investment back but it seems awfully aggressive when we all understand where IWC stands in the market...

it was a time when IWC was a brand I admired, perhaps more than any other. A great piece for sure. I also like your remark about the outdated design. I agree, of course. But I have thought many times that one day this design will become desirable by a bro...
