Held it quite puzzled for a moment in my hand, when I decided to put this one on and scratched my head ... how did it work again?
How do I pre-wind it manually???
Looking at the back at the crown I was thinking:
Was the crown in the back for winding? ... noooo.
I remember it was for setting ... hhhmmmm?
The watch never runs down fully, I know, ... sooo ...
and when turning the dial of the watch up again the penny dropped: it is already running!
I just need to set the time! 😥😀

The futurematic has mechanical “block” that’s prevents it from winding totally down
So when you put it back on, it will have a certain power reserve to get you going.
That was the penny, that dropped in my mind at a later point

No need to wind
You just shake it a little and it will start running. Then you turn the watch and slide the crown at the back to the centre (no lifting It!) and the movement hacks. Now you can set the time, slide the crown back off the centre and all done. This watch is ...

Yes, the condition struck me and the fact that it is from the late 1950 ies. A great piece of watchmaking and very affordable, too.
Not only a pretty face: runs +/- 0 sec. during wearing and +2 sec. leaving it overmnight.
