I told you in Paris about our plans; they are jumping into reality right now. So other beatiful things will have to wait a little.
And even then there is another thing on top of my list which has been there for a long time and that I have postponed again and again in favour of watches. This time I want to make it happen (and post a report of course).
Yes, from what I see in the pics the new Memovox could be tempting enough to get a modern sister for the vintage one. It might me just the right Master model for me. I have been looking at the Master line for a long time, especially at the Master Hometime (older model) and the Master Control. Very tempting, in front of all the Autotractor movement in the Hometime(s), but something kept me back. Maybe the new Memovox is my reward for waiting...
Ah, I did not mention so far: My thumbs go up for the standard model. Clean and somehow very businesslike. The WorldTime dial appears a little too crowded for my taste. But to each his own, as Mr. Moderator uses to say. Steel or pink gold? I like them both equally, the cool steel model and the warm golden one. So I would probably go for the steel one and get a Reverso for the rest of the budget ;-) Hahaha!

strange Memovox caliber
I don't remeber which page, but I find a strange looking (early 50s) Memovox with a handwound caliber 601. Do you know something about this ? Milan

I was seduced by the simple one. I found it beautiful and a nice reinterpretation of this classic. I was less convinced by the International. I was a bit disappointed by the fact that the date window finally cut the inner circle. Fr.Xavier

editions, but was a little disappointed to see the date window on the international cut into the inner circle. I also thought the font at the top with "Jaeger-LeCoultre" was too crammed against the upper borders. Perhaps a 42 mm diameter would have solved...
I'm quite happy to see that JLC didn't release it in a larger case.
It is good to see the Tradition respected. It is also difficult to touch to a Myth. So, my opinion here is that JLC made the right choice. As for the window date on the Memo International, it is a Proto, and we'll see what JLC will do or not. Thanks for y...
I just saw a press photo from WatchTime last
night and both the date and the logo did not encroach on the inner circle. The porportions looked perfect so perhaps I spoke to soon.

Rather messy. And why did it have to grow to 40mm? I love the vintage and I love world timers, but surely they're the most useless complication/indication around.

I had the chance to see the international in London but I think the classic Memovox Reveil has a very elegant timeless appeal.It could be a perfect everyday wear.Always understated and classy.Maybe SS for me.Mo
