i'm not too "technical"
i bet you probably do more rough stuff than i do. for me, even in and around kinshasa, where i live, i don't have to do much that mountain bikers consider "technical." i could be runover by a car, and i could flip through a pothole, but overall, the challenges i face probably aren't at the level that a devoted, "avid" mountain biker would face.
point taken about the expense -- of course -- but at the end of the day, these are just things, and i suspect that they were made to be enjoyed. in the case of the ewc, what would be the point of all this over-engineering if it were simply to remain in the office? the ewc was engineered for fun, and jlc says it's tough. so i'm goin' with that. the memories are in the scratches.
