The Master Control Date has always been a sober, serious and class watch. A bit like the grandmother, the Geomatic. And it still is the case this year, with the introduction of the new model.
There were two exceptions, here, with two more " extravagant " versions, even if extravagant is a bit too strong...

The absence of the mention " automatique " and... the black background of the date, which matches with the dial.
That would be great to have a new Master Control " Black Series"!

honestly...the black is so seducive for the first time i feel the sector dial master control is a tad behind the race...

That black dial is very much my favorite basic Master Control.
I kind of have trouble explaining what I think it's so good about it, why it's so striking to me (it's just a simple watch with a black dial!), but it is.
