Looked at one today.
Thank you for the wonderful review. After reading it, I wandered by a Montblanc boutique and decided to take a look. I examined one with a black dial on a strap. I thought it looked like a beautiful watch. The quality of the execution was very high. Though it's not a thin watch, I thought it had a nice profile for a sportier piece. There was a solidity to it that I appreciated.
I think the next version of the watch should have sapphire chapter ring with subtle etchings to indicate hours and minutes between 4 and 8. I know this is a fantasy...but a man can dream.

Terrific coverage of a splendid watch.
I see a hand wind variant in my future. I was especially pleased with the details of the bracelet. It says a lot when great comfort can be achieved on a small wrist, as that cannot be said for many brands.

Non-GMT?
Just to note, there is no non-GMT version of the automatic Rieussecs. The only non-GMT versions are the manual wind MB R1XX versions which are three times the price.
