The only nitpick would be that the open loops on the "6" and "9" are not as open as the original.

Good eye with the loops. It’s true and not true. There are different models. The one shown on pereszopes report has indeed more open loops. That might have been a nice add on. the D 3646 on his poster has again the same one as the 721. More open dials wou...  

There are indeed two types of Kampfschwimmer sandwich dials. The first batch with almost closed loops and the second batch with open loops. The second batch is more common, at least in my database. More details about these dials can be found here: perezco...

Rolex made them for Panerai and Panerai only supplied the dials BUT they didn’t even supply all the dials. For the California dial watches you can say that these are 0% Panerai as the dials were made by Stern for Rolex. At least the 3,6,9,12 dials in the ...

it's still part of Panerai history. The good along with the bad. It's bad what happened to the Panerai family at this time, but I still appreciate the beauty of the watches they made in this era and that's the context in which I place them.
