There are indeed two types of Kampfschwimmer sandwich dials. The first batch with almost closed loops and the second batch with open loops. The second batch is more common, at least in my database. More details about these dials can be found here: perezcope.com

I'm so amazed at how close this one is to the original Type D 3646
The only nitpick would be that the open loops on the "6" and "9" are not as open as the original.

That was an unfortunate time in history putting it lightly but
it's still part of Panerai history. The good along with the bad. It's bad what happened to the Panerai family at this time, but I still appreciate the beauty of the watches they made in this era and that's the context in which I place them.
