Hi all, newbie here

I've often asked myself that same question as I had the same initial response as BHK9. Panerai was just not under my radar then. I guess it grows on you. My friend/colleague is hardcore on Panerais and as we share our passion on horology, his PAMs kinda sucked me into its spell too! My wife wasn't too excited about it either as she's more 'mainstream' but now she's hooked too. We're actually sharing a 183G!

For me, the simplicity of the sandwich dial was the main reason and the straps also have presence, adding to the allure of the watch. The sandwich dial added some depth to the face and I liked that. In addition, the Radiomir's classic cushion case attracts me more but that doesn't discount the a future Luminor. Now only if I can convince my wife on the Luminor!

Wearing these 44, 45, or 47mm monsters has tainted my ability to wear a 38mm watch comfortably. Takes a while to get used to wearing a small watch now but in the end, I still prefer 44 over 38 anyday! Cheers, Anthony
