Thank you for the great review of this stunning 47 mm Luminor cased Panerai. Your attention to detail and thorough review answered all of my questions and covered all of my thoughts about this fantastic watch! Those are some fantastic photographs! Your ma...
The Pam 305 is certainly the nicest Panerai introduced this year, with the Egiziano. I agree with you on this point. You wondered why Panerai didn't use horizontal baton markers at 3 and 9? Look at the 2533... There is no date nor small seconds on the 253...
and the rules in reguards to "Divers" wrist watches ,the small seconds hand should have a luminous tip or tail so you can tell that you watch is still running in total darkness and this makes very good sense to me . Thank you for this review Anthony.... W...
Didn't think of that! Hhehe I think many are waiting for the 47mm Egiziano, along with the 47mm 1950 base, and hopefully Panerai will release these long awaited pieces soon. Cheers, Anthony
is getting worst and worst in my case and you aren't helping a bit :0) Thank you very much for this detailed review with some nice vintage and SE pieces inside Best from Croatia Damian
Can I pull off 47mm? I don't know. After checking it out in the metal I'm starting to waver, and think I can't do it. The dial is spot-on for me in terms of design. It's strong and simple in that special way that only Panerai gets right. Of the current pr...
Definitely an awesome watch. Two friends of mine are already enjoying it and the more they wear it, the more they love it. About the strap, one of them told me exactly the same, it's the most comfortable rubber strap he has ever tried. I think I wouldn't ...
excellent pics and nice observations of the things that, as a buyer, you want to know. I tried on a 44mm SUB last week and also have to say how comfy the strap is...great job by Panerai. Yours, Andy.
Love the photos and the attention to detail. I have to agree with the post above, the baton markers, while very nice, is a bit out of sorts for a Lum. Then again, I am a newbie to the PAM virus. Love the closeups of the P9000 as I could never get those sh...
And if you have the same wrist size as me, you should definitely try on the PAM305. If the PAM305 does feel too large, still try on a non-submersible 47mm because it'll still feel smaller since it won't be as thick. Cheers, Anthony
Nice review of the PAM 305, and of course excellent pictures. I enjoyed reading the thorough and detailed points about this sub. I agree with you that I hope that Panerai considers offering this in 44mm. Thanks again and great job Anthony. Regards, ED-209
Really excellent and well thought out work. I have really warmed to the dial. I tried on a prototype a few months ago and was very satisfied with the watch in person. My only complaint is actually the display back, as I feel it has no business on a dive w...
a COMPLETE report with all the meaning the word complete holds, just another intersting watch by panerai, yet still not my call. Thanks for the report. Faisal
I think Panerai is successful in pinpointing what exactly that the public likes about their watches...maybe it's the simple design, or the curves of the case or the shapes they use. Whatever it is, they've managed to hone in on it and keep it consistent s...
As a long time Paneristi, I have to say I wasn't quite overwhelmed when I saw the 305 in the metal. It's a nice watch, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure of the bang for the buck value. And as for the bezel, i found the Blancpain 50 Fathoms to be much b...
However, it does help 1000x more for me when I'm reviewing a watch that I absolutely like and a brand that I am passionate about. Definitely helps with me being able to add more of my personal thoughts and commentary on the subject which I feel makes revi...
I saw the 305 at the NYC boutique when I was in town at the end of October and fell in love with it. But then I strolled over to the MB boutique and got to see the Rieussec chrono. Couldn't purchase both, so since I already have a 268 in the collection, I...
and I'm glad I had the opportunity to review that watch last year. You made a great choice and I would have done the same since I always prefer diversity of watches whenever I can. Cheers, Anthony
From the moment I first strapped on a 305 I have dreamed of owning one. It does seem to have the special sauce that makes it a Panerai to own. I'm not likely to commit to one any time soon, so I hope you get one so I can at least see it every once in a wh...
Great job Anthony!!! I am sure it took a large amount of effort and time to put this piece together. It shows that you did alot of hard work!! It is definitely worth the read. Very well executed and presented. Thanks for taking us through the review secti...
There are very kind words for a long time die-hard Paneristi. It was a lot of work to write the review but fun at the same time. Hope to see you at a future GTG! Cheers, Anthony
. . . or at the very least, I'll start learning Panerai reference numbers ;-). Regarding the placement of the date aperture and small seconds dial on the horizontal axis, my sense is that a symmetrical layout would shift the perception of the watch toward...
You got be hooked on the Glashutte Original Senator Sixties Square, and it's payback time to get you hooked on a Panerai someday. Maybe a Radiomir model someday Cheers, Anthony
Now that is what I call a reveiw. This having been said, I still went out an ordered a Rolex Deepsea which has my preference. In the meantime I'm still waiting for my PAM 317 to arrive. Regards, George
It was a pleasure to write, and I tried to include as much information, some history, and opinion so even those who aren't familiar with Panerai watches can understand every little aspect of Panerai and the PAM305. When I had Ping (my wife) read my final ...
