and while I know the vast majority of people are loving this release, for me the jury is still out, the older references have more charm. I think it's the sapphire glass, on the new version it is just "flat" whereas for example on my 09 there is more dept...

Is the crystal of the 09 more domed?

Yes, slightly domed

...out of sheer curiosity, I've looked at my 009 from all sides and I didn't see any dome. I have a 009Pre-A, which model is yours?

about the Sapphire crystal. I went to try on a Tudor Pelagos and I coulda sworn there was NO crystal on those watches. No reflections, no distortion, no raised edge...nothing. It was kinda weird.
