Thanks for sharing this experience -- frankly the whole thing sounds extremely odd. So according to Richemont Italia (I assume), you are supposed to hand 560 euros cash to the DHL guy who shows up at the door with your watch?
I agree you should definitely give them a call and arrange for a more reliable (and possibly more modern) delivery method. I can see you're relatively close to Milano but not in the same region, so maybe now they can't get the watch to you because of this insanity of the "regioni rosse"?
In any event, despite the trouble and understaffing that I'm sure they are going through in Milano, this is obviously not a professional way for a major watch brand to handle a totally standard matter ;-)
Keep us posted on the conclusion of the story -- hope it gets sorted out! ;-)
