Hello again dear Myles: I own two examples (42 mm case size) from the first generation and now this fourth generation which is a completely different watch. The three previous generations...
... shared a similar design, date and He Valve which lacks the new watch. Also the rounded case and classic Lyre lugs are gone and the case is more modern and rectilinear and angular design.
Then, the watch looks and wears different and looks bigger though the makesr tells it is actually smaller.
I will make a few shots of the two watches together as soon as I find some time to spare to do it.
I´m very happy with this new watch and I have been enjoying on my wrist since last Sunday and guess will stay on my wrist for several more days honeymooning with it.

Both the Ultra Deep and the new Generation SM PO do not have the traditional external He Valve. As our dear Art well says the special reinforced case and type of steel makes the trick...
... and I suspect the glass design and sealing is also contributes to the possibility of abandon the traditional valve. Cheers! Abel

does this meet cosc certification requirements? Not sure if a valve is required.
