Omega

Hello dear Emmanuel! Thank you so much for sharing this most…

… complete, thorough and beautifully illustrated report about the new SM 600 PO line.

I agree with most of your comments on this new watch and it was very interesting to read your perception on this model.

I had ordered one from our local Boutique as soon as the watch was announced and had requested the black bezel thinking that it would be the most classic and less flashy (understated) of the three.

I discarded the orange one (beautiful! ) because I own an orange bezel SM PO of first generation 42 mm already.

Last weekend I received a call from the Boutique telling me that the watches had arrived.
But I had to wait till today to visit them.

Now… there were the three watches waiting for me !

The orange one though spectacular I left aside immediately for the reason told above.

Now… I was sure I wanted the black just by the photographs but viewing both black and blue in the metal… I never experienced before such a difficult decision choosing between two identical models with different colors on their bezels!

As a matter of fact I spent about a little more than half an hour trying one and the other repeated times.

My only criticism to the three watches is being too flashy for a tool watch due to the many angles and highly polished surfaces of case and bracelet playing with light.

Well… nobody buys a diving watch for diving these days!!  They are just a different type of luxury watches.
Also I preferred the caseback Sea Monster in relief of my first version instead of the flat engraved of these new fourth series but this is a minor critic indeed.

Well… after much thinking I finally liked more the white numerals dial of the blue bezel variant.

The black bezel was more classic, less conspicuous of the three but after so many trials I finally opted for the blue bezel one and it’s dial being main detail I liked most among these two watches.

I took a few shots in haste as soon as arriving home still needing to fix myself the size of bracelet and taking off the plastics. (By the way my wrist is 17cms)

Thank you again for your great post and shots!!
Best cordial regards
Abel
