I've gotten very helpful advice on this forum in the past, so came here again for more. I want to get my husband a Seamaster for his birthday and am trying to decide between the Planet Ocean (42mm) and the 300m (36.25mm). I know that larger watches are mo... 

If it's the 2254.50.00 or 2255.80.00, for example, at 41mm, that might be just right. I've never seen the 36.25mm Seamaster, but that seems on the small side. If he has a small wrist, it could be the right size and fit. The PO at 42mm is big. I recently o... 

Can you notice a difference between a 41mm and 42 (300m vs. Planet Ocean)? On the Omega website there is a photo of George Cloony wearing the large Planet Ocean--and to me the watch looks huge. I think my husband has a small wrist; he's not a big guy. Sho...

Mine measures about 6.75" and I could get away with 45mm PO so if his wrist is about the same size as me, I would say go for the PO. HN

42mm PO as a sport watch would proably be a good fit. However... I have a smaller wrist - 6.625" and numerous vintages the size of his dress watches (very nice, BTW), but i also own a 45.5mm Planet Ocean (wearing it today, it fact). I think it looks right... 

I do not know his wrist size, but the smaller dress watches look perfectly in proportion. He is not tall (about 5' 5") and I fear that a large sport watch might look awkward on his wrist. I wish the Omega site showed each watch on an average sized wrist. ... 

42mm is a pretty standard size these days for a sport watch, and of course they go larger. I think a 42mm will be fine. The Planet Ocean is a classic watch, and one does expect it to have a little wrist presence. This message has been edited by mrsnak on ...
