… and as always happens when I have it on my wrist I enjoy it so much and it reminds me of my good friend Art. This Omega model has such a strong personality and the lovely patina on the sub-dials turned brown add to its charm. I wish Art and me will reun...

A watch I would love to add to the collection someday, with the DC-8 in the back. Sadly a plane which I missed, so while never having experienced it live, at least I would have it on the wrist 😁✈️

I wish you’ll find your FM some day soon! May be you can do it before our gathering with Art, Nicolas and Jefff next year in Paris?? 😉 That would be wonderful!!! Regarding DC8: I had the pleasure of flying in those planes in the 1980’s. Still my favorite ...  

. . . and somewhere in storage is my BOAC log-book with many of those flights recorded by the pilot. ✈️

. . . being informed it's supposed to be a DC-8. I recall flying Swiss Air at least a few times in the late '60s . . . wish I could remember what was in their fleet. That would be the likely inspiration for the engraving. Art

Probably the DC8 was the intention but then a mistake from the Omega artist making the original drawings for the watch was overlooked. That´s just my theory of course. Cheers! Abel

Mine's still parked in the hangar I should really get out to fly sometime soon. Since 707s and DC8s are gone, my choice nowadays would be 747 upper deck. It speaks volumes about the engineering prowess that so many of them are still flying around 5 decade...  

… tourist class. Though in the 1980’s it was rather easy to ask permission to visit the upper deck and even the pilots cockpit which I did. I feel that big plane was the most comfortable and pleasant flying plane I ever travel in. A marvelous piece of eng... 

Was last year with Lufthansa to Mexico 🇲🇽 Very comfortable indeed, even if a smidgeon louder than the A380 👌🏻👍🏻
