"A normal minute repeater gong covers up to 1,5 times the perimeter of the movement. When the gong exceeds that and goes around the movement more than 1,5 times, it is called a cathedral gong. Cathedral gongs have a louder and richer sound, and are thus more desirable. The cathedral gong of the Toric Résonance 3 goes around the movement 2 times and Parmigiani shaped the gong snake-like. Because of this rather unusual shape, the total length of the gong is even longer, and the sound even richer and louder."

I don't yet know how I feel about the dial (its hammered texture and the way the hammers are integrated to it), but judging from renders makes no sense, so it's of very little importance. And I'd love to hear it chime! Best, Emmanuel
