As for service, I don't think corporate knows or cares Sadly. The retailer should be helping here.
I have had a couple brand new watches require service. Worst was the manual wind red breitling. The watch was broken, sent it back to the boutique, they sent it for service. It came back with scratches from the caseback being opened. When I called and complained to see what they could do, big 🖕, so i immediately sold it and will not get breitling. I had a VC come in, my blue quai de l'ile, from the boutique and it wasn't winding properly (automatic). That was when covid started, no one knew what was going on, supply chains, etc. They actually sourced me a different watch in exchange. Very cool. Finally one of my minerva had an issue where the chrono would advance the minute hand when I stopped the chrono. That I requested to back to Switzerland, it took 4month, it came back fine. No scratches, in a little travel case.
