Thanks, and I'm sure that if I were able to take decent pictures, you'd like it even more! ;-) The dial is wood marquetry and you can literally see the slivers of wood with a loupe...

Patrick, you are correct that there are 1 or 2 craftsmen that do marquetry at Patek BUT there are many more than a few than do it elsewhere and for others besides Patek 😉 [nt]

Ahh! I stand corrected. I was only aware of the one at Patek and his apprentice.
