5170 is certainly one of the top chronos
and a beautiful watch, but so far it does not stir my emotions. I don't feel that need to put this on my wrist. Don't mean to fall into the 5070/5170 comparisons, but while everyone will respond with congratulations when a 5170 pops up, that is about it, unlike all those 5070 discussions. This is the 2nd 5170G that I have seen on the wrist of its new owner since Basel. I spoke with my AD this morning and mentioned this and he find it very strange that Patek was already delivering the new pieces.

I strongly find the G much nicer than the J. wear it in good health!
Several thoughts
First, the G is a big improvement on the J. What comes across as a cold dial in the J comes across as clinically cool in the G. I love the Breguet numerals and I think that works really well. The watch now has much more personality than the original issue...
In my eyes 5170G is great. However,
