... and not even from the dealer who is selling it to me, but from the Geneva salon. It made me smile to tell you the truth, getting used to it.
Don't really care, actually i see it as a brainwash they seem to have, and they hit us with that phrase instinctively.
But if you ask me, its not about old stock not moving, but more about that this new collection is just about releasing same models with new metals or dials. Also they cannot put them in the market in 2014 while the big unleash of candies will be next year for their 175th anniversary.

This is the 2nd 5170G that I have seen on the wrist of its new owner since Basel. I spoke with my AD this morning and mentioned this and he find it very strange that Patek was already delivering the new pieces.

I strongly find the G much nicer than the J. wear it in good health!
Several thoughts
First, the G is a big improvement on the J. What comes across as a cold dial in the J comes across as clinically cool in the G. I love the Breguet numerals and I think that works really well. The watch now has much more personality than the original issue...
In my eyes 5170G is great. However,
I am waiting for 5170P. The movement of 5170 is simply great and perhaps the future P-version will have even more personality than G. Best, Kari
