the 5959 in any metal. I actually have a limited edition lithograph of this movement framed up in my lounge for the past decade and a half. I think it is one of the great feats in horology to be able to produce a split second chronograph in an ultra thin ...

This is for a very simple reason. I'd use it! It would suit me, I'd wear it all the time. Plus I don't want to pay for he service cost of a more complicated piece.

Why this one? Easy: It's a US only watch and as I'm not living there, Mr. Stern would be the only way for me to get it. The 5170P is a watch, I can buy on my own. (If I want to)

5204P or 5131P. I think 5204P eeks ahead because of the split seconds.

After that 5950 or 5370. Haven't seen any of these so this is just desktop dreaming!

Not including what is in my very modest PP collection, three references finally stood out as highly desirable: the 5975, with its beautifully idiosyncratic dial, and the 5575 which, to me, is the most beautiful of the WTers. But, I think they both can be ... 

If its not too much i would ask for a chance to get the 5396G Tiffany edition.

As the author of this post, I thought it only fair to thoroughly consider my answer. I spent ALOT of time mulling this over and enjoyed the process immensely, although some of my regular AD's would tell you otherwise 😀 It seems the majority favour the 537... 

It is indeed a valuable exercize to make, when considering buying one of course but also for the analytical aspect and what it teaches on our tastes and other members' perspectives (subjectivity). We all have what we tend to like and what we really don't....
