5970 order
Couple of months ago, I had an order placed for a 5970R with a 20% deposit with an AD here in the US; Mid December I was told that I will have to pay a higher price (10-15%) due to the anticipated price hike. More recently (few days ago) I was told that its unlikely that they will get delivery of any further 5970s and they will be refunding my deposit. Extremely disappointing :-(((
I guess this does make it one of the shortest runs of regular production watches i.e 2005-2007. The grey dealers are already asking for 120k+ and only time will tell what the prices be in the future.

If all is true, the 5970 will have the shortest production run of any Patek Chrono/Perpetual in the company's history (2005-2008???). Having said that, the 5970 will still exceed total production of the 2499, which I believe was in production from approx....

Production runs may be shorter but wouldn't you agree that the total number of pieces is likely much higher for both the 5070 and 5970?
