The price that you quoted is actually not too bad.
I did a search last night, and the few that I saw listed for sale were asking quite a bit more. However, this does not necessarily mean they will get there asking price right away, but the trend appears to be up wards.

If all is true, the 5970 will have the shortest production run of any Patek Chrono/Perpetual in the company's history (2005-2008???). Having said that, the 5970 will still exceed total production of the 2499, which I believe was in production from approx....
