5970G would be my choice
There are several things about the 5070 that I don't care for.
1. The arabic numerals on the dial, some of which are cut off
2. The case seems oddly proportioned--width to height
3. The case is a bit large at 42mm unless you have a large wrist.
4. The wide stepped bezel is not as interesting as the concave bezel found on the 5970
What I like best about the 5970 models.
1. Case size is perfect in my opinion at 40mm
2. The contrast of the charcoal grey baton markers and hands on the G model are spectacular
3. The beauty of the manual wind movement with chrono function is outstanding
4. The classic look of the dial layout
5. The concave bezel
6. The vintage look of the lugs

would if i had the money be the 5970, i love the way it looks and it has a complication that i like in it, no offence but i have never understood the hype and look of the 5070, the casing feels a bit big.
