I will give you a personal answer
If I could only buy one, it would probably be the 5070P, with the idea that I also still would have $35K or so in my pocket. You probably won't use either 5070P or 5970G as a daily wearer, so you could put the extra $ toward a 5980 and you will have an ultimate pair of Patek chronos.....

I would guess that both 5070P and 5970G will turn out to be good investments. Most watches are not "investment grade" so you get lots of answers on threads like this critical of this idea. But as far as any watches might be nvestment grade, these could be two of the better ones.
I also think that in the long run the 5070P will be harder to find than the 5970G, so if you have the chance to get one, I would go for it.

would if i had the money be the 5970, i love the way it looks and it has a complication that i like in it, no offence but i have never understood the hype and look of the 5070, the casing feels a bit big.
