Patek Philippe

A look at the new 5236P-011

The new Patek Philippe In-Line Perpetual Calendar ref. 5236P-011 features:

  • a silvery dial with vertical satin-finish and black-gradient rim
  • charcoal gray white gold applied faceted baton-style hour markers,
  • charcoal gray white gold faceted baton-style hands.

Judging from the photos I've seen online, this dial seems to have “multiple personalities” (words of Rebecca Doulton in her Monochrome review) and I can't decide what to think of it.

According to Rebecca Doulton

“Depending on the angle, the dial shifts from a cold silvery tone to more intense grey tones with a dash of brownish-yellow thrown in. The closest analogy might be the colour found in vintage sepia photographs.”
