A lot of differing opinions surely surfaced with
my post and I read everyone's thoughts with interest.... it shows the diversity of the forum and its members.
I spent quite a bit of time writing the post, not to accuse anyone, create suspicion or discontent, but to better understand the process and the reasoning based on observation. Of course, it is understood that you can't please everyone but this exchange has brought several differing opinions and observations to light which can do nothing but help.
Jerome has written some of the most in-depth, technical, beautifully illustrated posts I have ever seen which had to have consumed hours of his time to bring these to us. And, for that, I am most appreciative. I'm sure being a moderator has its moments and the dedication, the time and effort put forth is certainly substantial.
I was a dealer for 27 years before I ended my relationship with Patek a few years ago, but I can assure you the passion and love of the brand continues. I try to pass on the experiences and knowledge I acquired so members can get a glimpse of Patek Philippe before its popularity began to soar and about references discontinued long ago. That passion and experience compels me to question and maybe critical of things as they are today from a different perspective than most folks here.

It never ceases to amaze me

Dealing or living with a brand for many years allows you to have deeper feelings, of course. As for Jerome, his moderation with PP is one of the most difficult task, I think. This should never be forgotten. Best, Nicolas.
