it would be the 5131P but with a leather strap so that it is lighter to wear. I love the white areas on the dial which far exceeds that on the G and R. But you know my personal favourite is still the 5575G

love for 5575 ! LOL !! BTW, my R enamel dial with icy white areas looks really “cool”. Without the white, the dial would not have the accentuation which rounds it out well.

The R does not have enough 'white' for me. I love the cold, I need more snow!!!

I probably wear the "P" or "G" more often ... because the white metal cases work better with the bulk of my clothing choices.

The R is gorgeous and extremely charming, but I wouldn't wear it very often. One day I will get a watch in R, and the 5131 would be a perfect one. Maybe a 5231 😉

I'm not a collector but just a watch lover, and I like certain diversity in my stable. Owning a 5110G, 5231G could be redundant (I know, not really, but kind of). Maybe 5231R could be a better complement. The only 'con' I see is that I don't like yellow g... 

an interesting comparison! On the rotor for an enamel worldtime, IMO this is a non-issue because I am forever staring in the front and admiring the enamel map & its contrast with the case. The back can be shut with a lid and I would not mind. LOL !

But I still don't understand why Patek is not paying attention to this mismatch. IMO it's really evident in other watches with bigger rotors.

Certainly everyone one is entitled to their opinion and I respect your decision based on your taste. I usually like to match metals ... belt buckle, watch case, ring ... etc, but the Rose/Yellow mismatch that occurs in some Patek references has never both... 

But to me yellow rotors inside rose cases means "no go". Other combos don't bother me that much, but this specific one does. Don't get me wrong, it's just a very personal feeling, but it makes me think of a sort of "collage" watch. At this level, I would ...

Amazing pieces Gordon. From the pictures I agree with the feel that each dial and metal gives and having recently handled an R, I would say the G or the R would be the first piece I would hunt for budget permitting. Wear them in good health my friend.

heft of the bracelet and have considered using a strap but just have not gotten around to it. IMO the P would look wonderful on different color straps and they would bring fantastic new looks to it.
