Patek Philippe

Both!

I'm frankly delighted that Philippe Stern had the b@lls to ignore all they naysayers back in 1976 and launch the Nautlius liine. Without doing something like that to challenge the status quo Patek would have become like Cadillac and Buick - appealing to harumphing old men attached to colostomy bags and rejecting anything "modern". And it was nice to see Thierry Stern wear an Aquanaut with a business suit and tie a few months ago to a dinner in Chicago.

I have both a Nautilus 5712G and an Aquanaut 5167 and they get very regular wear. If I had to keep one it would probably be the Aquanaut just because it is so easy to wear and so inconspicuous.

As to wearing them for "sport" - it's a little like SUV's. Most never go off-road and increasingly are not equipped to do so. If you want to go off-road buy an old Land Cruiser or Land-Rover. If you want to wear a watch while playing golf, buy a G-Shock.
