as the so called "sports watches" of PP have been an error in the PP product line... IMHO It is a clumsy effort to also provide sports watches - which are not "real Pateks" concerning the aesthetics They are not my taste! I know that there are quite a f...
I am afraid I simply do not understand why it is necessary to be a dress watch in order to be a "real" Patek. I personally do not live a daily life that is really compatible with a dress watch. Must I be foreclosed from Patek quality? No offense meant. Gl...
and low key with the rubber strap that I find it much nicer to wear although I love the 5712 in rose gold. In a perfect world PP would make the 5712 in SS on a rubber strap with a ceramic bezel. I would be first in line
The watch has an interesting case and dial design. The stick hands seem like an after thought. I hope that this is not offensive to anyone. As stated, I like this watch and would like to own one, once I get past my issues with the hands. Cheers Joe
Aquanaut is my vote, especially with the synthetic strap, very comfortable, comparison with my IWC XII below. This message has been edited by captain-winters on 2010-01-09 20:27:50...
There both are aliens in the PP collection... There really so comfortable.. The steel strap are amazing, so comfortable.. and the caoutchouc is perfect for summer... Very thin pieces compared to other diving watches (Sub, 50, ....). So many people disagre...

I love a lot its weird look, typical of the 70ies: But, as with the Aquanaut, I don't see myself practicing any sport with. I would be too afraid with the Micro rotor and the scratch catching bezel. In both cases, lovely watches! Best, Nicolas...
I'm frankly delighted that Philippe Stern had the b@lls to ignore all they naysayers back in 1976 and launch the Nautlius liine. Without doing something like that to challenge the status quo Patek would have become like Cadillac and Buick - appealing to h...
I would disagree that without the Aquanaut and the Nautilus PP would only appeal to "old men'....... I do agree with all else..... Thanks for sharing your thoughts.... Cheers
i had the opportunity to choose and went for the 5711. that said, the aquanaut is beautiful too. i disagree with previous post where he/she doesn't consider these two models as pateks. i am not sure this is in line with the company's ethos. all watches be...
I have a 5711J and a 5167/1a. Although similar they are vastly different in practice... gold case, white dial on a leather band as opposed to stainless steel, black(Ish) dial on a bracelet. I love them both. It's a lifestyle and taste choice. I have basic...
