By driving a Focus you will certainly achieve your goal faster...
As you won't blow your cash on buying and running an expensive car. Most of the people I know with Pateks drive Range Rovers, one drives a Vanquish and another drives an S class Merc.
I don't think a car choice necessarily relates to an expensive watch as cars have a limited life span and you would not buy a car thinking that you will "never actually own it......just look after it for the next generation" - then again, who thinks like that when buying a watch?

For years I couldn't bring myself to buy good shoes. For one the tropical climate I live in isn't friend to leather shoe(a nasty experience for the wearer too if I may add). I do agree that a proper pair goes a long way with a fine watch. I most wear line...
