The question has nothing to do with investment. I don't know why topic/discussion in Patek forum tends to
easily lead to the word 'Investment' :-(

I'm just wondering how an owner feels about wearing such 'fragile' beauty.
If the dial did crack, the owner will feel the pain too, not just the value, as it can't be fixed.
I have a friend who once own a rare mother of pearl watch and it just suddenly 'decides' to crack.
He has to send it back and luckily the manufacturer does keep stock.
And for lange anniversary, I spoke to Alkis and I understand that Lange does keep extra dial for these watches , incase
the dial cracks. The replacement is not too expensive.
As for this beautiful vintage 2526, if it cracks, I guess you are on your own or maybe not.

I agree with you. It is the most important that the watch has a perfect dial (.....with no crack,hairline). The case is also in perfect condition. (never polised,sharp edge) Rated 98% (total)...
