Fab, many many thanks for your incredibly beautiful and informative photographic essay on the new releases. Also, for the many hours you devoted to responding to each and every reply
to your post. An extreme labor of love!
I wanted to take some time to digest the new releases before responding. The watches that I find most interesting and/or appealing are:
1) 5326G which combines 2 extremely practical and complimentary complications in an exceptional case. I love the dial layout, but I do not love the color and granulated texture of the dial. Hopefully future iterations will have a different and (for me) more aesthetically pleasing dial color and surface.
2) 5270P green dial. When I first saw this I was far from excited about it, but as I spent more time looking at the images that view started to change. Obviously owing a lot to the very first 5270 dial, I prefer the open look it has without a tachometer. I also like that Patek Philippe is written in much smaller typeface than the original dial. As for the color, it might be extremely attractive (or not). For me impossible to tell without seeing it in the metal. Could be a home run!
3) 5231G - I find the dial very unbalanced so for me the map is disappointing.
4) I absolutely love the rare handcraft rhino and lion wristwatches. Truly spectacular. As good as it gets for nature scenes.
Again, many thanks for your incredible work on W&W and in general for your extraordinary devotion to making the Patek forum so inviting, informative and special!
Best, Patekova
