First, big congratulations to Billfav for an exquisite new watch! It is very rare to get a steel Patek complication piece with a bracelet!

Dear VintageCollector, I think I know what you meant, as I was thinking about it a while back. Please see the comparison below. It is a design choice for how to display the date. With a wheel date at 6 o'clock, the 3 sub-dials need to be positioned a bit towards the center. The other choice is to use one of the sub-dials to display date, then 3 sub-dials may be moved a bit outwards, the way you prefer. It is pros and cons. I prefer the 4947 design slightly. We need to check the time and date more often during the day, rather than month and day of week. The 4947 design makes the time and date more visible (more space around them, thus standing out more). Both designs are wonderful, so it is more of a personal preference. Cheers.
