you probably will lose some money on the 3940 by the time you sell it when your 5970 arrives. I think that is perfectly fine, just treat it as rental fee :-) But the good thing is you actually get to own and wear this beautiful 3940 for a period of time. That's what I do when I was waiting for the 5970, I get a 5070 to experience it. In life, the experience is more important than any ownership. Lovesss*CL

the solid case back is standard on the 3940P, no sapphire back available. Regarding the dial of the platinum and WG, i had the opportunity at PP in Geneva to handle both models at the same time and the dials are exactly the same.
