Great review great watch.
Thanks for the great review. In fact, it is one of the best review on 5712 I ever read. The pictures were wonderfully taken and they reveal the quality of design and manufacturing in a perfect way.
I have the watch since 2009 and it remains one of my most favorite. The dark grey dial, the thinness (but not boring) of the case and the extremely comfortable and elegant bracelet are the biggest highlights for me.
Regarding the finish of cal. 240, I think that it's very hard to compare the beveling quality with a big and thick Neusilber plate of a Lange movement. The thicker, the bigger, the easier to finish. Neusilber has a different physical nature which makes it easier to finish to a "mirror" level based on what I heard from a respected watch-maker in the industry.
I hope that you will enjoy the watch for a very long time...it's a keeper.
