You are being too modest in your analogy of my 7200R against your 5010. Yes, admittedly gondolo watches tend to be less popular than calatravas but yours is also discretely elegant and for me, that is what counts. What I like about the 34.6mm 7200R is that the 240 movement fills up the case back beautifully like it does on the 5120 too which is 35mm. And your 5010 with roman numerals is a lot rarer than that with arabic numerals or baton markers.
You are absolutely right about the 1530A. The dial is something I can never be bored staring it. How such a simple watch can exude such a feel good factor - this is the beauty of our passion; this is the magic of Patek Philippe!

I'm generally biased towards moving forward.
Have you had an opportunity to put a 5010 on your wrist recently? If not I think you need to do that as it should tell you whether that emotional connection is still there and whether or not it's time to move on. My bias towards moving forward does not me...
