And for me also birth of a legend was a very powerful emotion trigger. I think this watch is still the most underrated watch in platinum ever created by Patek Philippe and will always be in my top 3 favourite watches. Why it’s not more popular is a myster...

I don’t believe all the “they made too many of them” lot one bit. Patek would never make too many platinum anything. Just one of those unexplainable things I guess. It’s a bit like why so many collectors don’t care that their beloved PN’s have fake dial o...

Agree - this is an outstanding piece. I was allowed to try on the 5960P a couple years ago at a reseller in NYC. A busy, breathless, hectic schedule of running around to various resellers on Madison as well as the venerable 47th Street. I tried on this wa...  

In a way that specs (weight, thickness, the slightly-too-green superluminova) are unable to "explain". Handling the 5960p has shown me how a concave bezel is a wonderful thing; since handling the 5960p I could appreciate why Patek wouldn't put the word 'f... 

And 5960g blue briefly. I read most of your comments about various 5960s. Nowadays, do you have a preference for the 1A white or G / blue dial, given a choice between only these 2 pieces? (Personally I think these two are easier to wear daily; even though... 

A local (secondary, used) dealer has 5960/1a white, G/ blue dial, and the original 5960p sitting next to each other, behind the vitrine. I can't help but imagine some trading scenarios. Regards, chk
