If you'rea regular loyal customer it's pretty crazy to profiteer like this. At 40% margin a dealer makes over 27k on 5131. I understand suppLy and demand and the profit motive but that other dealer will never see me again unless it's something I can't get. I guess in the long run they must think it's worth it.
And...I have never ever sold s single piece of any brand. I'm just a loyal buyer of various brands that buys what I like. Nothing to make a profit even though there have been many opportunities. And the people that I'm dealing with know that.

So your name comes up and then they try to mark it up 30-40-50 percent? I guess it's jealousy of the aftermarket markup (that THEY are supposed to control) but not a way to treat a regular customer.

If my AD marked the price like this I would go ballistic. I am not sure what PP policy is, but I can't imagine them liking this type of action.
I doubt
if any manufacturer will like this type of action but I would have thought that they would have better control over the ADs. Perhaps when I return to Malaysia I should apply to become a Patek AD!
