So your name comes up and then they try to mark it up 30-40-50 percent? I guess it's jealousy of the aftermarket markup (that THEY are supposed to control) but not a way to treat a regular customer.

In Egypt,They have in stock a 5131R and asking double the Daytona is 50% over retail as well.I refused both as much as I like them, I can't buy a watch with such premium specially if it's still in production. Best, Ahmed

If you'rea regular loyal customer it's pretty crazy to profiteer like this. At 40% margin a dealer makes over 27k on 5131. I understand suppLy and demand and the profit motive but that other dealer will never see me again unless it's something I can't get...

If my AD marked the price like this I would go ballistic. I am not sure what PP policy is, but I can't imagine them liking this type of action.

if any manufacturer will like this type of action but I would have thought that they would have better control over the ADs. Perhaps when I return to Malaysia I should apply to become a Patek AD!
