Very seldom there are perfect solutions. In the case of female Nautilus, one has to choose between diamonds and a quartz movement. For me diamonds are not as bad as a quartz movement.
In one interview Thierry Stern opened the future a bit and admitted that a non-diamond Nautilus for Ladies will be introduced in the future. My wife will wait till then and manage now with a Rolex Yacht-Master. But if my choices today would be mechanical versus quartz, I would take to mechanical one.
