Ladies Patek Nautilus
Hi all
Been looking into a ladie's Nautilus and found 2 interesting models
7008: Mechanical movement with date, stainless steel with diamond bezel (only 50 at 0.71ct total)
7011: Quartz movement, 18ct white or rose gold
Now both are at the same price point, so I am guessing the 7008 additional cost is the mechanical movement + diamond bezel
The 7011's price is more attributable to it being 18ct gold
Which would be the better choice? Obviously prefer a mechanical movement. I also assume this will have better retained value as well.
The other alternative is to get a mens 5711. Bigger case though and no diamond bezel. However at a considerably lower price point.
Opinions? thoughts?
Thanks

I will not buy a watch using batteries, especially in this price range. Furthermore, Nautilus is a sporting watch so steel is a better material than gold. Dress watches in gold are another issue and in my opinion Breguet's Reine de Naples is very hard to ...

Very seldom there are perfect solutions. In the case of female Nautilus, one has to choose between diamonds and a quartz movement. For me diamonds are not as bad as a quartz movement. In one interview Thierry Stern opened the future a bit and admitted tha...

There's no question in my mind that the mechanical watch is superior. I asked my wife (who has an array of different Patek's), however, and she couldn't care less about the mechanical movement. Indeed, she would rather have a quartz timepiece because wind...

... spend the extra money to get the 7010/1 G with the diamond bezel. Diamonds, Precious Metal and the Ease of a Quartz Movement far out weigh the beuaty that you and I might appreciate in a Patek Mechanical watch. Sorry.
