i had a feeling that question might happen.....
It is truly difficult to say X is better than Y, which is better than Z. They all have very different personalities and offer very different things at different times.

Although what I said in the first sentence is true, I forced myself to answer this question..."If you were only allowed to keep one, what would it be? And if allowed to keep two, what would they be?"
My answer, to myself, came very quickly.
The 5370P is King. It is an absolute joy to own and wear. It is, to my mind, the finest modern Patek Philippe that has been made in the last 25 years. Of course, this is just my personal view, but the watch is essentially perfect to my eye.
What would I choose between the 5070P and 5970P. I think my actions speak loud here. I owned the 5070P and 5970P together in 2010. One stayed. The other left. While i am truly delighted to now complete the partnership again, the 5070P gets the edge for silver.
But the 5370P is King.

And a correction which was mandatory, since you got the 5370P. Now, add one, two or three Platinum and you have dream collection which will be hard to beat when it comes to Patek. Which other pieces am I thinking about? The 5110P you already own. The 5131...

.....that is spot-on. When evaluating, i looked through the chronology of perpetual chronographs to see how they had evolved. Nothing has quite captured that magic of the 2499. Some get closer than others......

I try to plan 1-2 years ahead. This is the completion of the chronos within PP. 5131p is a target. And of course important to watch what happens with 5230p. Beyond that, uhmmmm.....

......it is probably right to describe the 5070P as the rarest of the three. Probably only 150 were made in a 1 year production run. 5970P, the production was for just two years and it is believed that around 300 were made. 5370P is now in the second year...
