such a complicated watch spurred this thought. I prefer case style of 3970 to 5970. So the perfect watch for me would be 5970 tachometer dial in a larger 3970 style case, say 39-40 mm. No wonder this would appeal to me. It is basically a slightly larger, more modernized (4 quick set functions) 2d series 2499, which to my view is the most beautiful and desirable Patek ever made. .....that is spot-on. When evaluating, i looked through the chronology of perpetual chronographs to see how they had evolved. Nothing has quite captured that magic of the 2499. Some get closer than others......

I try to plan 1-2 years ahead. This is the completion of the chronos within PP. 5131p is a target. And of course important to watch what happens with 5230p. Beyond that, uhmmmm.....

......it is probably right to describe the 5070P as the rarest of the three. Probably only 150 were made in a 1 year production run. 5970P, the production was for just two years and it is believed that around 300 were made. 5370P is now in the second year...
